5 Ways to Stop Doing Too Much
In the span of 10 days, I’ve talked with two working moms that broke down into tears.
Their reasons? THEY. WERE. TIRED. Exhausted with all of the things.
Oh my word. I completely related with them, but I was also pretty fired up.
Who told us the lie that we had to do ALL THE THINGS? How did we get here? Where did things get out of hand?
Maybe it started to fall apart the minute we signed up for that cookie exchange that required 8 dozen cookies.
Or maybe it was when we decided that those said cookies had to be made from scratch and not from a mix, because “what will people say?” #absolutelynothing
Or maybe things went awry when we set a self-imposed - and possibly unrealistic - business goal to hit before December 31.
You know, I’m really not sure, but what I do know is that burn out doesn’t just appear out of nowhere.
